Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind?

The way I see 2007, I say the answer is Yes and No.

There are some good times and bad times.
There are times when you win some, and lose some.
All and all, 2007 for me had been an eventful year.
Some dance to remember and some dance to forget.

It's hard to really sum up everything in one write-up. Anyway,
I present to thee, Statistic For the Year 2007.

Best vacation = Hattyaii, hands down.
Best food = Everything I’ve eaten in Hattyaii. You want me to list it all? I might as well start a book.
Best movie = This is complicated. So many, I guess. That would include watching from both screens and DVDs.
Best song = Satu, Dewa. It’s love, it’s godly, it’s giving, receiving and all in between in both emotional and spiritual way. It’s a revelation
Best book = Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, period.
Purchase of the year = Apple MacBook
New friends met
= A lot, in the form of 1 vocal engineer (Rol), 1 flamboyant engineer (Har), 1 ‘size-doesn’t-matter’ engineer (Yot), 1 fun-loving motorcyclist (Sam), 1 carefree kakak (CT), 1 bubbly accountant (Rin), 1 cool ‘nyo’ (Mal), 1 happy site supervisor (J) above many others.
Friendship revived = 2, so good to hear from Suzy and Shah again
Fractured relation fixed = 1, dude, it’s been a while.
Maliciously backstabbed = Once, a person appeared to be upright might be the most devious of all.
Misfortune happenings = Miscarriage, most unfortunate and well forgotten.
Blessed happenings = Offer to further study.

Miscellaneous
One fair job quit
One bad job alternate
One so-called friendship gone bad
One company of people I gladly called friends
One bad experience under few bad leaders
One great learning experience obtained
One really nasty flu on a really bad time
One acute pharangitis, whatever that is.
One offer fairly turned down
One life changing opportunity taken
One giant leap
One wonderful year

Thousands things to look forward to, hundreds of lessons learnt,
Many of friends to be remembered, few people to be forgotten,
Numerous sad reminiscences to be lost, several happy ones to make remembrance,
As we welcome 2008 and bid farewell to 2007

And auld lang syne.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, FOLKS
