And the Journey Continues....

As much as my dark twisted mind loves disturbing bitter movies, I love great epic fantasies. Fighting for democracy in Star Wars, watching Eragon led the war on freedom, or celebrating new hope in Narnia, dueling against dark wizards alongside Harry Potter. And who hadn’t followed the crisis in Middle Earth?

I watched The Golden Compass last night. I can’t wait for the next installment. Will Lyra Belacqua with the help of Roger, Iorek Byrnison the Ice Bear King, Serafina Pekkala the Queen of Witches and Mr. Scoresby the Texan Aeronaut, be able to save Lord Asriel from the clutch of Magisterium, the power crazed organization and the cunning Mrs. Coulter?

One thing that gets me feeling really intrigued is the idea of dǽmon. Each person is accompanied by an animal, somewhat representation of concious reflection or soul. Lord Asriel's is a snow leopard and Mrs. Coulter's a monkey. If each and every one of us has a dǽmon, I think mine would be a fox. So cool…. As previously I think my Patronus Charm would be. Ha hah... I asked my sister right after the movie, what does she thinks her dǽmon would be and she said she wouldn't know. I guess it's logical too, since Lyra's dǽmon is ever-changing as well, being a kid and all.

Have you notice that these movies/ books-cum-movies represent its battle, whatever they are?

Say, Harry Potter for instance, is really representing fight against racism. Muggles and Muggle-borns were being discriminate by the Pure-bloods and stuff. Notice that the Death Eaters wore something quite similar to the KKK.

Maybe it’s just me, but have you notice the Sith’s resemblance with the Nazi. George Lucas being Jew (curse be with them) and all, so Jedi must be the Jews. The massacre of all the Jedi = Holocaust, hello? Then, a new breed of Jedi emerged. More secular, more liberal, bringing ‘peace’ to the galaxy. Connect the dots, man. That’s what the Jews would like to believe anyway, don’t you think?

Besides the point. So what's Golden Compass: His Dark Material is all about? This is what I think anyway, and Fad, you might like it.

Magisterium= Authority suppressing the ever-so-freedom-hungry people from getting what they need. They hide truth from the people because of their paranoia, afraid of losing power.
Lord Asriel= Discovered truth and has answer for redemption but being threatened and imprisoned by the authority.
Lyra= Hope of deliverance. Represents innocence and dire curiosity for the truth.
Gobbler & Mrs. Coulter = Dressed in all the pretty outfit, but responsible for all the ugliness, immorality and misdemeanor. Two face, presentably Mesra, Cepat & Betul, but skin deep; devious and vile.
