I recently watched ‘Perfume’, upon recommendation from a new friend. Heard about it I have, and you can say that I am aware of a movie bearing the title, but that’s about it. So, there I was in front of me telly, watching the epilogue, and not knowing what to expect from the movie.
And to my suprise.... It is of so much element. The first chapter is filled with spilling fish guts, vormit, carcasses, muck, dirty nails, more spilling fish guts, more carcasses, and even more spilling fish guts and carcasses....... oh, you know what I mean. But as we moved to the second part, it switched to a wonderous and aromatic delight, as if all the fragrance from the movie came to life. And the final part was just diabolical and sinister, with a lot of uncanny death, one disturbing orgy scene and one vengeful finale.
It was fish guts, then perfume and finally death.
It was, disgusting, then deserving and punishment, last.
It was revolting-pleasant-unforgiving.
Illed-odourous, refreshing, merciless.
How disturbing? And I lurrrrrrrrveeee disturbing stories. I'm not happy watching it, nor was I pleased, not sad or uneasy by it, I'm befuddled but thrilled, and I liked it. Thanks Nadia for the recommendation.
.... and that's that.

Song of the day
This may sounds lame, but as you all should know by now, yours truly was born and grown during the heights of the age where big hairs, tight pants and oversized jackets are at its peak. At four or five, I was already singing or rather mumbling - at that time - the song 'Papa Don't Preach' and 'Karma Chameleon', via a microphone + PA system somewhat equivalent to today's karaoke machine. Promotional video, or music video as it is known these days, was at its begining course of 'killing the radio star'. As they say, you can take a person out of the 80s, but you can never take the 80s out of a person.
The day's event had eventually contribute to my flat mood this morning. Getting a call on 8.31 am, asking me things regarding work is hardly pleasant, especially when works starts at 8.30 am. Does the phrase 'settle down' means nothing these days?
Alas, the first think that comes in mind is : It's just another manic Monday..... Lame, I know. You must be thinking, the Bangles? Of all the songs about Mondays.... the Bangles?? Why Bangles?
Why not? Admittedly, yours truly does have a softer side. I am not all about taking-matters-at-my-own-hand (which I never recklessly did, ever.... yet), and dark-justice, and bla-bla-bla, gloomy and gothic stuff. There comes a time when I exhibit my Eternal Flame and there are times when I need to have fun and Walk Like an Egyptian.
Thus, behold, courtesy of the magic and wonder of the 80s, the song of the day : Manic Monday by the Bangles. Hahahahaa... gilo.

*yawn* I Hate Coming To Work on Saturday!!! Arghhhhh!!!
Saturdays. The day when the sun shines brighter than any other day of the week. The birds seemed chirpier, daisies blooming in bright yellow in green grass fields under the bright blue sky. But nobody cares, because at that time, everyone is still asleep!! No one is up yet, at least not before 7!!
Why? Why? Why?..... Argghhhhhh........

*... ippen shinde miru?* Of Grudge, Revenge, Anti-heroism & Dark Justice

So to speak, I was watching Jigoku Shouju-Girl From Hell ( live action, not anime) last nite. Brief synopsis; Should you, me or any other Jack from the street has grudges or feeling avengeful against anyone who did them wrong, they can go to this website and submit the name of the wrong-doers. Long story short, the Hell Girl a.k.a Jigoku Shouju a.k.a Enma Ai and her trusty disciples will come to torment them horrifically before sending them on a gloomy boat ride to hell. There's a catch. Once it is avenged, the submitter (??) is booked a spot in hell as well when they die. Don't you think that's rather interesting? Well, off course except for the Pre-Booked Hell Membership part.... but that is besides the point!
Let me share this with everyone now. Well, I have, how to put this... a thing, rather an acute interest in Anti-heroism and Dark Justice. Nothing appeal to me more than when justice is serve malicously and malevolently righteous. Nothing sends a spark of excitement brighter than when a dire bully is punished in vile and horrendous punishment. Nothing gives me the utmost satisfaction than to witness the wicked unjust people who thought they can escape the law finally beg to be spared their life, yet it was too awfully late then.
It's not that I'm Marilyn Manson or anything, it is just that to my believe when the governing system is innefficient, and when the supposed officials are unworthy, and when the authority is corrupted, and when the enforcers are ineffective, we resolve to one reliable mean, the one mean that we think will be able to uphold justice and by all means taking matters at our own hand. By me that would mean justice per se, not justice as in the real thing-justice (the thing my sis, Fad is intensely fighting for). By me that would mean Newton Law No. 3 that is, each action causes reaction, or rather a simple orthodox principle of it, or even the Sang Kancil version of it 'Buat jahat dibalas jahat.'
Thus, I found that movies/series/comics/anime/manga such as Death Note, V for Vendetta (fave quote: People should not be scared of their government, the government should be scared of their people) Jigoku Shoujo and...........what else arr? I can't quite think of any right now..... et cetera, et cetera..... and all of the similar type are soooooo appealing.
I say you go and watch them, recommended.

... and When The Sky Clears
How addictive!
I can't believe I'm coming in for 2nd today...
How can you blame the man, it's addictive..
Right, and I have not even begun to badmouth my boss, courtesy of the event that happened this morning.
... on second thought, emmm, nah!! The more I gibber on and about my 'indisputably more annoying than houseflies swarming around my lunch' boss, the more agitated and enraged I'll be. Thus, I shall talk about something else. (Min, sorry to disappoint you.. *I shall not badmouth the bugger no more, for I will let the idiot be*)
To all bosses out there, be kind and reasonable to your subordinates. Motivate not dictate. Dictatorship will frighten your subordinates. They will go on mutiny and leaving you doing everything to yourself. You might want to try to run the company/ project without them, but afterwards you go frantically psychotic and kill yourselves by drinking detergent your cleaner-lady left in the toilet, and you will die regretfully a horrific death. It's true. It happened once before. *cough-cough* Honestly, it's true. Therefore, I would like to implore thee, be kind.
